"It is essential that every possible effort be made to ensure that Catholic schools, despite financial difficulties, continue to provide a Catholic education to the poor and marginalized in society. It will never be possible to free the needy from their poverty unless they are first freed from the impoverishment arising from the lack of adequate education." - Pope John Paul II, Ecclesia in Ameria no. 71
Although the very existence of Notre Dame School depends upon each family making the maximum possible financial contribution to Catholic education, the school intends, to the extent possible, to make the Notre Dame experience available to all families who prioritize their children's education.
Catholic Education Fund Support for Families
Through the generous support of private donors, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and the Catholic Education Foundation, Notre Dame is able to support parents in applying for financial assistance to make Catholic education possible.
Families who fall below the income guidelines posted below are required to apply for the Catholic Education Fund each year and upon application for enrollment to NDS.
New Enrollment Initiative/Shea Program
Families who are new to Catholic education in grades TK-8 are able to apply for the New Enrollment Initiative. This is a renewable up to $2250 annual scholarship that is awarded to families whose income falls within annual financial guidelines. As long as a family can commit to all remaining tuition after this scholarship, they will qualify for the NEI Award. If you are new to Catholic education and wish to explore this option, please contact Mrs. Carroll after filling out your application (mcarroll@notredamesb.org)
Monthly Payment Plans
In addition, The Notre Dame School allows families to pay their annual tuition on a monthly payment plan. Any additional conversation regarding your family's desire for Catholic education and ability to pay should be directed to our Principal, Marissa Carroll.
