After graduating from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a teaching credential, she moved back home. For the past three years, she has been teaching in 6th grade at Peabody Charter School. In her free time, she can be found reading, walking on the beach, or spending time with her friends and family. She feels so blessed to have the wonderful opportunity to join the Notre Dame community as a Kindergarten teacher!

Sophia Faulding

2nd Grade

Sophia Faulding is truly looking forward to teaching second grade at Notre Dame School this year. She was born and raised in Santa Barbara and is happy to be returning home after working as a nurse in the Bay Area and then studying Catholic education in Michigan. 2nd grade is an exciting year, filled with adventures in reading and writing, developing math facts and skills and growing deeply in love of the Lord with the reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist. It is an honor to walk beside the Notre Dame second graders as they grow in faith, virtue and knowledge.

Kristi Soforo-Grelier

3rd Grade

A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart and I am absolutely excited and thrilled to be able to share that experience this year for the first time at Notre Dame Catholic School. I have twelve years teaching experience and am certified and licensed in California, New Mexico, and Texas. I have been living in Santa Barbara for one year. I am married and have two children. I enjoy volunteering with SBIFF and watching foreign films. When I am not at school you can find me exploring our beautiful city, gazing at the ocean, or at the movies.
I'm excited to be at Notre Dame School teaching 3rd grade!
